The Fusion group was formed in 2000 and held it’s first exhibition in 2002. Members are from a broad range of backgrounds and ages but have a common goal, to develop their own work with integrity and honesty and to pass on their enthusiasm for textiles and the stitched surface to others, particularly in the North East where they live.

Many of the group members offer a wide and diverse experience through talks, lectures, workshops, master classes and mentoring as well as exhibiting with other groups across the country. Media, techniques and styles vary from member to member producing a lively insight into contemporary mixed media and stitched textiles.
